How to install themes? (LMMS theme installer Program)

"I don´t understand where to put my theme. Directory, what is that? What is tar.bzip2 or tar.gzip?". Not everyone are into computers, and understanding LMMS is difficult enough! Downloading a theme from the LMMS sharing platform and actually get it to work might be tricky, but now there is a program for that!

Kevin Murek is the man behind the program which makes installing themes easy.

Step. 1

Download the latest file by clicking on it.

Step. 2

Find the downloaded file, right-click on it, choose the extract option.

Step. 3

Inside the folder, double click theme-installer.exe. Choose yes, even if the program does not have a signed publisher.

The program will open and automatically set your LMMS theme directory. Only change it if you want to save you themes on a specific location. Press next

Step. 5

Choose anyone of the theme listed and press the big install button. After a while the program reports that the theme has been successfully installed!

Smaragd and sapphire theme

If you have kept the default theme close to your heart, you are going to get blown you off your feet. This theme was made as being the default version 2. Not that it looks anything like you have seen before!

A major progress for me in making themes. This theme brings you all new icons and colours. If you do not like an element in the theme, you can find the corresponding icon and switch it with any icon you like, and from this day and on you now have four different themes to choose from!

Because the sharing platform don´t handle zip files,  I use 7-Zip to compress, first to tar and then to bzip2 or gzip. So if you download from the sharing platform you might have to uncompress twice. Please let me now if you know a solution to this problem!

Some people just love black. Not me. And therefore I created a black theme? Guess so.
I think you will really like this theme, and I am tempted to say; this theme is way much better than my last. My second theme ever.

A cleaner css document for LMMS

Because of the total mess in the css document I decided to clean up at least a little bit. So my version is at least a bit better to understand.

Later I discovered that Notepad is perhaps not the best editor for css documents... Even the preview on Google is neatly arranged... So basically only use my version if you are going to edit in notepad

Rage about lsp!

Because I can not get the sharing platform to work properly, I randomly started this page and thought I would share with you a theme I have created called: All Dark Blue.

I can log in (and probably register... :-D, glad that was fixed), but I can not press on anything else, because then this happens.
